What is a natural way to get rid of acne?


The majority of over the counter acne products have one of these active ingredients in it which is suppose to clear acne: Benzoyl Peroxide, Salicylic Acid, Sulfur, Alpha Hydroxy Acid, Beta Hydroxy Acid, Lactic Acid, Glycolic Acid. If your acne has not cleared up after trying these ingredients, then you should try the following routine below: 


SEVEN things must be done EVERYDAY to reduce/prevent acne. Doing one or a few of these will NOT keep skin clear as possible! 



STEP 1 WASH, TONE, MOISTURIZE FACE TWICE A DAY 

Wash face 2 times a day, morning and night (possibly 3rd time, midday, if super oily/sweating). Only use products that are labeled oil-free, won't clog pores, non-comedogenic, or non-acnegenic! Try this natural and gentle face routine: Wash Face with warm water & cleanser - Purpose Gentle Cleansing Bar/Wash by Johnson & Johnson. Tone Face with liquid toner/astringent - Thayers or Dickinson's Witch Hazel, it's gentle, helps prevent acne, minimizes pore size. Moisturize Face with an oil-free moisturizer - Lily Of The Desert Aloe Vera Gelly, its 99% organic, contains Vitamin A, C, E! Aloe is gentle, helps renew skin cells, heals blemishes/scars. Don't use other brands of aloe, has very little aloe and to much junk in it which can irritate skin! 



STEP 2 KEEP HANDS, HAIR, OTHER STUFF CLEAN 

Keep dirt & bacteria at bay to prevent breakouts! Always wash hands before applying face products! Don't rest hands on face! Don't let phone nor dirty oily hair touch face! Don't lean face on objects! Clean eye glasses often! Wash pillowcase, bedsheets, blanket, washcloth, towel often! Old makeup, makeup tools harbor bacteria, Use fresh makeup, wash/replace tools often! 


STEP 3 EAT HEALTHY FOOD AND LIMIT JUNK FOOD 


Research has shown that there is a connection between certain kinds of food & acne! Buy the book The Clear Skin Diet by Alan C. Logan & Valori Treloar! Eat more fruits, vegetables, foods rich in omega 3 fatty acids, vitamin A, vitamin C. Limit intake of dairy, butter, greasy/fried foods, sugar, candy, salt, dessert. Always avoid cigarettes, tobacco, illegal drugs!

STEP 4 DRINK WATER 


Drinking about 64 oz of pure water everyday improves skin quality, flushes out toxins, delivers nutrients to skin! You can also include 100% Fruit Juice as part of your daily total. Limit intake of milk, caffeine, coffee, soda pop, tea, alcohol. 


STEP 5 TAKE VITAMIN MINERAL SUPPLEMENT 


Its hard to get all vitamins minerals skin needs, so take a supplement everyday! Caution! Overdosing on vitamins minerals from food or supplements is dangerous! 



STEP 6 ACTIVATE YOUR SKIN 

Do at least 1 of these activities EVERYDAY to activate your skin: 



Aerobic Exercise increases circulation & delivery of nutrients to skin cells, encourages good blood supply, helps remove toxins, controls acne breakouts! Do 20 to 30 minutes of exercise EVERYDAY! Drink Water! Immediately take a shower to remove sweat & dirt! 



Face Massage improves acne prone skin because it removes toxins away from the face & delivers nutrients to the skin. A lymphatic massage (massaging the lymph nodes on the face) can also improve your skin! You can also buy a book on face massage, such as Ten Minute Facelift by Jennie Harding. Using aloe vera, do a 10 minute face massage before going to bed EVERYDAY.

Don't use facial brush if you have pustular acne or serious sensitive skin! 


STEP 7 GET ENOUGH SLEEP 


Getting enough sleep helps skin repair itself. Adults need between 7 to 9 hours of sleep everyday. Children (10 to 17 years old) need 8.5 to 9.25 hours of sleep everyday.
